Bill Palmisano


Bill Palmisano is a semi-retired landscaper,  educator/consultant,  working for the past 40+ years using organic growing methods. For the last 15 yrs he has been studying and applying soil biology to rejuvenate the soil biome,  including studying with soil biology pioneer Dr. Elaine Ingham. Soil biology and the soil food web is a fundamental component of regenerative agriculture, serving as a complex network of organisms that drive soil health and sustainability.  Bill won the Santa Barbara County "Green Business Award" as early as 1999  and the "Recycling Educator of the Year" from the Santa Barbara School District in 2006. Currently he spends time using these innovative and pioneering methods on his own yard and making compost and composting products.  With his years of study and practice, Bill is optimistic that outdated and harmful farming practices will be replaced with regenerative practices that enhance the health of the ecosystem which in turn contributes to human health.
